History

Ziefle Koch GmbH is a family business, run by the second generation of the Ziefle family in the form of husband and wife Gottlob and Elke Ziefle. The business was originally founded on 1 April 1931 as a result of the acquisition of a carpenter's workshop in the centre of Cresbach by Gottlob Ziefle senior.

The company started out by making customised household furniture, bedroom furnishings and housings for grandfather clocks.

By 1961, Gottlob and Mina Ziefle had already decided to start producing bedroom furnishings specifically for hotels and guest houses. When business was relocated from the centre of Cresbach to the outskirts of the town in 1972, the foundations were laid for today's company headquarters.

The continuous development of the furniture line and the expansion of the range of services offered in terms of both planning and supplying complete hotel room furnishing solutions have enabled the company to grow at a healthy rate.

In 1998, Gottlob Ziefle GmbH acquired the Nagold-based company Koch, a well-known specialist in top-quality interior design for the catering industry. The decision to fully integrate Koch GmbH into the Cresbach site was taken in 2003.

In a solution that made good commercial sense, the parent company and its subsidiary were merged at the beginning of 2006 to form Ziefle Koch GmbH.

In 2010, the Swiss subsidiary Ziefle Koch Schweiz GmbH was established, with its headquarters in Horgen-Arn near Zurich.

With a staff of approximately 100, we offer our customers a comprehensive concept from the planning, production and delivery stages, using our own vehicle fleet, right through to installation - all from a single source.

Our team of eleven interior designers, planners and sales staff provide support for our customers both at home and abroad.

Our target groups are family-run hotels in all star ratings, for which we offer complete solutions, as well as hotel chains and rehabilitation clinics. We provide customised property furnishings, high-quality interior fittings and complete furnishing solutions including flooring, curtains, lighting and accessories.

True to our motto - "You look after your guests. We look after you" - we demonstrate the expertise we have gained from experience, with a team of skilled experts, innovative ideas and a showroom which is arguably unmatched by any other in the industry in terms of size and professional appearance.

Our headquarters here in the north of the beautiful Black Forest, a stone's throw away from the stars of the restaurant industry, is admittedly not ideal in terms of transport connections, but we promise that "those who find us, find us to be excellent".
